Nearly 1.5 Million people affected by floods in Assam.

Heavy rains in the north-eastern state have meant that substantial portion of kaziranga national park inundated and many animals have died while trying to flee the floodwaters.

Nearly 15 lakh people reeling under fury of floods in 21 district, 33 persons lost their lives in Flood so far.

The Highlands created at Kaziranga National Park under the initiative of Hon'ble CM Shri sarbanandsonwal, are now providing safe shelter to the animals in the flood-hit park.
